The course & its setting
The Broadmeadow River flows naturally through the site, and has been cleverly integrated into the course design through well-placed water hazards which enrich the game without making it overly difficult. This design emphasizes precision and strategy rather than power, while providing a pleasant and relaxing natural setting.
The course is recognized for its year-round playability, thanks to an excellent drainage system that is carefully maintained. Under the direction of Superintendent Colm McGuinness, the field is kept in perfect condition whatever the season, and enjoyed by both regular members and visiting players.

Infrastructure & Services
The club also has convenient warm-up facilities, with a putting and chipping green as well as practice nets.
Swords Open has had the honor of hosting the Southern PGA Championship of Ireland on three occasions (2007, 2008 and 2009), proof of the quality and growing reputation of the course.
