The course & its setting
Located along Zarautz beach, on sandy soil bordered by dunes, it offers a route directly influenced by sea winds and the natural topography of the Basque coastline. Without artificial obstacles, the wind, the undulations of the terrain and the proximity of the sea become the real challenges of the game.
The course was inaugurated in the presence of King Alfonso XIII, and has retained its original character for more than a century. It is an emblematic place, steeped in tradition, where elegance, sportiness and respect for the environment combine.
