The course & its setting
This classic links-style course consists of three loops of nine holes each, offering a unique sporting challenge. Very exposed to the wind, it is bordered by natural water obstacles which test the players' precision. The vast plateau greens, fast and demanding, contrast with an often very high rough, adding to the difficulty and beauty of the terrain. Golfers can enjoy impressive views of the sea and Dublin city throughout their round.

Heritage & Tradition
Portmarnock Golf Club boasts a rich and prestigious history, having hosted some of the biggest names in world golf. It was here that Arnold Palmer and Sam Snead won the Canada Cup in 1960. In 1991, during the Walker Cup, a new American generation with Phil Mickelson and David Duval also shone on this course. More recently, Portmarnock has been the scene of 19 theIrish Open Championship events on the European Tour, testifying to its exceptional standing.
