The course & its setting
Water sports enthusiasts will find what they're looking for here, but the resort is also a world-class golf destination, with two championship courses designed by the legendary Jack Nicklaus. Punta Mita was named by Conde Nast Traveler as the best golf resort in the world in its Top 100 Golf Resorts rankings in 2008. The lush green fairways extend over natural rocky terrain, renowned for whale watching.

Setting & Location
The Pacifico course, inaugurated in 1999, includes eight holes on the seafront and is home to Mexico's first hole No. 19 — an optional par 3 nicknamed "Tail of the Whale", a natural green on an island located 182m from the tee to dry land.
Since 2021, a five-year renovation project has been underway under the direction of Jim Lipe, aimed at modernizing the greens, surrounds, bunkers and tees of the Pacifico course, with the aim of installing a high-end turf, the Trinity Zoysia, on the fairways.
