Quinta do Lago is a prestigious residential and golf estate, extending over nearly 2,000 hectares of preserved nature, between pine forests, the Atlantic Ocean and the Ria Formosa natural park. The route in detail
Completely redesigned in 2014 by architect Beau Welling, in collaboration with former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley, the North Course offers a modern, strategic and environmentally friendly layout.
A unique environment
With an investment of 9 million euros, all the infrastructure was rebuilt: greens, tees, bunkers, drainage, irrigation and cart paths. Designed to accommodate golfers of all levels, each hole offers four teeing areas. The course is marked by undulating greens, well-integrated water hazards and technical bunkers.
Perfectly integrated into nature, the North stands out for its ecological innovations: optimized water management, solar energy, reduction of grassy areas and support for local biodiversity.
