A majestically designed links course along the North Sea
Montrose Golf Links Ltd offers a course with impressive design. It is one of the oldest links in Scotland and the fifth oldest golf course in the world. Throughout its history, Montrose Golf Links has been the scene of many major golfing events.

The route in detail
In 1845, Prince Albert granted the club his royal patronage. At one time, the course had up to 25 holes. In 1901, Old Tom Morris was the first to give it its modern appearance, followed by Willie Park Jr. in 1903.

History & Location
The greens, tees and fairways extend along the North Sea coast, with the exception of holes 10 to 13, which are located inland. Montrose Golf Links also had the honor of being chosen by the Royal and Ancient as the site of the British Open Final Qualifiers in 1999 and 2007 at Carnoustie. Since 2013, it has hosted the Europro Tour every year. The course is 45 km from Dundee, as well as 65 km from St Andrews and Aberdeen.
