Minthis Golf Club
The soul of Cypriot golf, between history and modernity
Perched in the hills northeast of Paphos, Minthis offers a unique golfing experience, where tradition meets innovation. Its 18-hole course, originally designed by Donald Steel in the mid-1990s for the Tsada Golf Club, extends around a 12th century monastery, on land formerly owned by the Orthodox Church of Cyprus.

The route in detail
In the early 2000s, the layout was completely redesigned by Tom Mackenzie, who modernized everything: redesign of tees and bunkers, leveling of the fairways, and installation of an efficient irrigation system. With the arrival of the promoter Pafilia as a partner, new investments have made it possible to further raise the level of play and comfort.
The original greens have been rebuilt, now sown with bent grass for optimal putting quality. The returnof the course has been particularly transformed, including:

- a spectacular par 5 at the 10th hole, oriented towards the east of the area,
- a brand new short par 3 at the 13th hole,
- and a real signature: an impressive island green at the 15th hole hole.
Stretching over 5,900 meters from the back tees, the course is par 72 (35 on the way out, 37 on the return), organized into two loops which return to the clubhouse. A decorative body of water is located between the fairways of the 9th and 18th holes, with no real impact on the game, leaving the 15th as the only notable aquatic challenge.
