An international championship course
Inaugurated in 1992, the Golf Club Poggio dei Medici is a jewel among Italian courses. Designed by the architect Alvise Rossi Fioravanti and the champion Baldovino Dassù, this 18-hole, par 72 course extends over 6,452 meters and meets the demanding standards of the USGA.

The route in detail
Awarded upon its opening as the best new course in Italy, it was also hailed by Conde Nast Traveler as the best Golf Club, surpassing prestigious courses such as the K Club in Ireland and the Greenbrier in the United States.
Located in the heart of the Mugello Valley, protected by the Apennines, Poggio dei Medici offers 5 starting tees to adapt the difficulty to each player, from the passionate amateur to the seasoned competitor.

Infrastructure & Services
The club has a large practice area with pitching and putting greens, practice bunkers, as well as 30 pitches (6 covered). A PGA teacher is available for private or group lessons. Carts, trolleys and bags are available for rental, with shopping carts on request.
Between 1999 and 2003, Poggio dei Medici hosted the Women's Italian Open of the European Tour, bringing together the best players on the international circuit, including Samantha Head, Sophie Gustafson, Paula Marti, Iben Tinning and Ludivine Kreutz.
