Wild golf, enhanced by the Sea of Cortez
Initially scheduled to open in 2009, the Chileno Bay course had to wait five additional yearsbefore welcoming its first players, due to financial difficulties having impacted many high-end golf projects around the world.

An exceptional setting
Located on the Baja Peninsula, with breathtaking views of the Sea of Cortez, the Chileno Bayresidential estate spans a spectacular 1,200-acre site. In addition to the beachfront villas, it includes a beautiful beach club as well as a charming boutique hotel.

A unique environment
This 18-hole course, very different from Tom Fazio's usual creations, is characterized by the almost total absence of rough and a very uneven and natural style of bunkers. The balls must remain on the mown lawn, otherwise they will be lost in the surrounding desert.
It is a demanding course, with a difficulty index (slope) of 145 for the back tees, but the width of the fairways allows players of average handicap to fully enjoy the game, while admiring the splendid sea views.
