The journey & its history
Founded in 1896, this links was extended to 18 holes in 1970, then subtly remodeled in the late 1990s to reinforce its character. It seduces with the quality of its maintenance, its firm and fast greens, a few blind shots, and the omnipresence of the wind which adds to the challenge. This free course, without artifice, embodies Irish golf at its purest.
The clubhouse, installed in a 14th century castle, is considered one of the oldest clubhouse buildings in the world still in use. Former home of the Fitzgeralds, Earls of Kildare, it gives the place a timeless charm and an exceptional atmosphere.
