The journey & its history
Designed by Peter Harradine in 1998, the complex includes 27 holes including the famousNational Course, which has hosted since 2006 the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship, a prestigious tournament on the European circuit with a prize money of $2 million. This tournament saw several big names in world golf win, including Martin Kaymer, Paul Casey, Tommy Fleetwood and Rickie Fowler.

A unique environment
The course, around 6950m long, is considered a demanding challenge by professionals. It offers an exceptional setting, with saltwater lakes, ornamental trees, palm trees and strategic bunkering. Nine of the eighteen holes feature water hazards, which adds to the difficulty. Despite this technicality, the course is recognized for being fair, offering a real sporting challenge beyond simple aesthetics.
In summary, the Abu Dhabi Golf Club is a leading golf destination, where luxury, nature and tradition meet in a unique setting in the heart of the desert.
